The Indian government had proposed back in 2019 for declaing international year of millets to promote sale of millets. This year, the UN has delcared 2023 as the itnernational year of millets, which will help various agriculture states in India. As per FAO Director-General QU Dongyu, these efforts will “empower smallholder farmers, achieve sustainable development, eliminate hunger, adapt to climate change, promote biodiversity, and transform agrifood systems.” Read the full report here…
